 So today we did a Play, Make, Create, and our book was called rain before rainbows and it was about you have to go through the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. I made an Inspirational quote I think I did a good job of choosing a good quote and a good illustration. What was my favorite part was doing the illustrations because I think it is very relaxing because you just see the ink going onto the paper and it's soo satisfying. What went well was that I think the illustrations matched the quote very well and the lettering looked really cool with the leaves on the bold letters. I think that what I did was really cool and I wouldn't really change anything. I think that working by myself was good and I really got to use my own ideas.     

 For Play, Make, Create I did something to help Theodore to help to keep his mane down and the title of the book was called Theodore the Unsure. I worked with no one because I didn't really feel like working with anyone. What was challenging was the hairbrush because the wool that was the bristles kept on falling out and another thing was to tape the straw inside the roll of Cardboard because of the tape that I used it didn't have enough stickyness. what I used was a roll of Cardboard, Paper, Wool, Crepe Paper, Tape and a Straw and if a felt if that counts!!   

 Last Friday we did Whetu Challenge and we did Kite making and it was really fun and amazing. My kite was made out of an Old Tent and Garden Sticks. I made this kite last year but I deconstructed it. I didn't work with anyone because I just didn't feel like it and then if you make it with a buddy then they probably would change something that you don't want to do with the Kite. What worked well was the tent fabric was really light and the garden sticks were probably lighter than Bamboo and that's what worked really well for this kite. My kite flew and I am really really happy that it was flying. On Monday we got to fly our kites because it was really windy and my kite flew really well.

 I am very sorry but I forgot the name of the book so excuse me and my forgetful brain.  I made a card to make someone happy and smile AND IT DID!!! and I'm so happy to make her smile so then I smiled and that made it the highlight of my day ohh and I gave it to my Mum.  My buddy was Nikki and we worked together pretty well the only time I really had to help her was with the string and SHE DIDN'T EVEN USE IT!!!  what worked well was the expression on Mums face it was so heartwarming. I wouldn't really change anything because it is just perfect just the way it is.  

 Today we did a play make create and our story that we did was Be you. we did a board game that is based on stranger things and there is three roads and there are clue cards and mystery cards and there's six of the characters Lukus, Mike, Mad Max, Will, Dustin and Ell.  I worked with haven and I am soo pleased that I worked with her. what worked well was the point in the game they started and the start and they have to go through the obstacles to get out of the upside-down of stranger things. we wouldn't change anything because it is really cool and awesome to play and I really think that the class would really like it.  So the photo is blurry so there is something there but it's just the lighting...

  Term 2, Week 1 2021 During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start, it was super easy but progressively got more challenging. I am now on kevlar level of NumBots and right now I am on a really hard level but I reckon I will get past in someday.   I enjoy NumBots because  I like the way they teach you stuff and I like the way that you know that you are learning stuff.  What I find challenging is that some levels are hard and then you get two stars then your like that’s okay. you continue on then you come back and sometimes you get three stars and you are really happy.  This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables.  I think that TTRockstars will be so fun and I have a feeling that I will be Rock Hero soon and I will be SOO happy.

 Today we did a Play Make Create, and  I  made a Water Car and I wanted it in water to see if it floated but I didn't have enough time. I worked by myself because I wanted to. What worked well was the bubble wrap inside of the zip lock bag was the perfect template of the circles on the top of the Water Car. I probably wouldn't change anything because it looks really good.

  Whetu Fun Day Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block. My favourite part of the Amazing Race was running around ngatea and finding the eggs. In my group, I had Shirley, Haven, Tayla, Marley and Scarlett. The rotation I enjoyed the most was the STEM Challenge. I liked working with someone different which was Imogen. I wish I did the Picasso bunnies because they looked really cool. During the Easter Egg Hunt, I found my stick by a tree under a piece of plastic.   Imogen and I working on our tower    

  Today we did a play make create and we did it about camp because we are going to camp on Wednesday. The hardest part was probably the tent it was so hard I couldn't even finish it because it keeps on breaking. so here it is  There were three photos but I couldn't get it on!! 

 Today we did PLAY< MAKE< CREATE   We did a story about graffs that cant dance but Lavanchy does 

  We did a Play, Make, Create and Mrs. Loft read us the Gruffalo and there were four things that we could choose and they were.  - Design  - Build  - Create  - Make My choice was to make something that made the Gruffalo less scary. The hardest part for me was cutting the buffalo out of the cardboard. Because the scissors got jammed in the cardboard and my hand got really really sore after that but then it was lunchtime and then my hand was fine after that. The easiest part for me was writing on the paper because it was quick and snappy. I used Cardboard, Green plastic, Card, Felt, and Tape.  

  Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I felt nervous at the start of the race but then once you get in the pool and start racing it all goes away. The races I did were the 2 length breaststroke, 1 length breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, and backstroke.   We had two art sessions this week and I’m really excited to color in my good copy for the portrait and I know what kind of colors I’m going to choose and it’s going to look AWESOME!!!  In reading this week we have got to the exciting bit in the story. I wasn’t there at the first session but I’ve really enjoyed it.  Part of our maths program is NumBots and I think I am pretty good because I started late and I've passed most people.  

Week 4, Term 1, 2021 The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is when we all did outside takaro and I fitted in one of those bean bags for racing in. We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs. Heaven and Mrs. Loft.  Our art is going to be awesome because the portraits that we are going to do is funky and I draw pretty funky  We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look, mine looks really amazing because on the other side of the photos there was a picture of Clay and he is looking up and I drew a moon and it looks like he is howling at the moon. Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling confident because I have improved from last year.
